Naval Surface Ships
More than 300 years of Naval Shipbuilding
Naval surface ships have been built at the Karlskrona Shipyard since 1679. Three centuries later, oak and sailcloth have given way to special steels and state-of-the-art composites like carbon-fibre.
Stealth and mine countermeasures
Today, Kockums is the global leader in stealth technology for naval surface combatants. The launch of the Visby class corvette heralds a revolution in naval thinking; a highly flexible surface vessel that carries a devastating punch, yet almost invisible to current surveillance technology.
Kockums is also a provider of a complete range of mine countermeasure systems, from dedicated vessels like the Landsort / Koster class MCMV to unmanned minesweeping vehicles.
Other successful products include coast guard vessels and auxiliaries of different kinds.
